A Helping Hand... Or Item

Lately, I have had this strong urge or need to help others. I am guessing it is my mom yelling to me from heaven. She was the lady that volunteered for 10 different causes every week. My mom was busier volunteering than a person with a full time job!

I think back to a time when I was struggling and the help I received from others in the form of; advice, money, tangible items, or even an embrace or phone call, and how grateful I am now for that help. Maybe that is also where my urge to help others comes from, because I have been in a place where I needed help. At the time I did not want to admit it, but having someone reach out to me meant the WORLD to me!

Community 2000 is a GREAT organization that serves the Seymour area, Fox Cities, Green Bay and Oshkosh. Families or individuals that are struggling to get by do not get assistance with hygiene and cleaning items. March 13th is the deadline to donate cleaning supplies, paper products, baby care products, hair care, personal care, first aid and dental care products. They can be dropped off at the Shopko in Seymour or you can learn more by visiting the family.net or calling 800-236-9364.

Check your bathroom drawers- how many in package tooth brushes do you have that you could donate? You can get coupons for toothpaste, shampoo or bars of soap. Anything will help!
